About Us
We are Lin and Grace Carney, owner/operators of Arrowcrest Jerseys Raw Milk Herd Shares.
Grace grew up on a Holstein dairy farm called S-Curve Farm in Bucyrus, Ohio. Lin purchased his first Jersey cow in high school, when his family moved to the farm from Loveland, Ohio (Originally from Denver, Colorado). The very first member of the herd was a red and white Jersey named Jenny.
We met while in college while obtaining degrees in dairy science, and got married in 1982. Now 38 years later we have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren that have all been raised on raw Jersey milk from our herd.
We are a sustainably produced, high component, grass fed/grain free herd that produces A2/A2 milk in Goshen, Ohio. While not certified organic, we do practice organic principles. We chose Jerseys as the breed of cattle for Arrowcrest Jerseys for the high butterfat (cream content) and the high protein yield of their rich milk.
We have been milking at our family farm for 35 years. For the last 25 years we have maintained a closed herd, which means that all of the cows are born at the farm.
Our mission is to produce rich, delicious nutrient-dense, easy to digest raw milk off of chemical-free soil. Our ground has been in pasture with no fertilizer other than cow manure put on the ground for 30 years.
We were the last commercial grade A dairy in Clermont County, Ohio before we decided to make the switch to raw milk herd shares. We are so happy to be able to offer raw milk herd shares to our local community, and we aren’t looking back!
Please set up a time to come and visit the farm and try a free sample of raw milk. We look forward to meeting you!
